The new owner of the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina hotel has proposed a large expansion of the event and dining space.
A showroom built in 1965 would be demolished and replaced by a new showroom/service building with rooftop parking.
The project would be called South Miami Town Square and have an open public plaza, apartments and commercial space.
The Realtors of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale announced a merger with the South Broward Board of Realtors, which has 1,500 realtor members. The members of both associations voted in favor of the merger.
